Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

Rakudenz is a social platform where users can create profiles and avatars, join communities, communicate with other users and upload or share content.

Rakudenz is currently offered as a beta service. This means:

• some features may be incomplete or unavailable;
• errors, interruptions and delays may occur;
• features may be tested, changed or removed;
• content or settings may occasionally be lost; and
• access may be limited while we maintain or improve the service.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep Rakudenz available, but you should not use the beta as the only place to store important information or files.

Rakudenz is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it for emergency, medical, legal, financial or safety assistance.

You must meet the minimum age applicable to the country where you live:

• India: 18 years;
• European Economic Area and United Kingdom: 16 years;
• other countries: 13 years, unless local law requires a higher age.

You must provide an accurate date of birth when creating an account.

Users under 18 are considered teen users for Rakudenz safety purposes. Rakudenz may apply additional privacy, messaging, content and community restrictions to teen accounts.

Content, communities or features marked as adult-only are available only to users aged 18 or older.

We may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe that the user:

• is below the applicable minimum age;
• provided a false date of birth;
• is attempting to avoid age restrictions; or
• has not completed a reasonably requested age check.

Where required by law, we may request parental or guardian authorisation before allowing a minor to use Rakudenz.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for keeping your login details secure.

You must not:

• provide false or misleading registration information;
• impersonate another person or organisation;
• access another person's account without permission;
• sell, transfer or share control of your account;
• create accounts to avoid a suspension or restriction; or
• allow another person to use your account in violation of these Terms.

Contact support@rakudenz.com promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may change or reclaim a username where reasonably necessary to address impersonation, infringement, fraud, prolonged inactivity or confusion with Rakudenz or another organisation.

You may create a profile, select an avatar and participate in communities available through Rakudenz.

Some profile information, including your username, avatar, biography and community activity, may be visible to other users depending on your settings and the communities you join.

You must not use a profile or avatar to:

• impersonate another person;
• falsely claim authority, verification or affiliation;
• deceive other users about your identity;
• infringe another person's rights; or
• display prohibited or unlawful content.

An avatar or profile image is not proof that an account belongs to the person or organisation it represents.

Communities may have their own rules in addition to these Terms. Community owners and moderators may manage membership, restrict participation and remove content using the tools Rakudenz provides.

Community owners and moderators are Rakudenz users. They are not Rakudenz employees or representatives unless we expressly state otherwise.

"User Content" means anything you post, upload, send or otherwise make available through Rakudenz, including:

• profile information and avatars;
• posts, comments and reactions;
• community content;
• direct and group messages;
• photographs, audio and videos;
• documents and files; and
• links and other materials.

You retain ownership of your User Content.

You give Rakudenz a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit and display your User Content only as reasonably necessary to:

• operate Rakudenz;
• deliver content to the users or communities you select;
• maintain and secure the service;
• create technical copies and backups;
• investigate reports;
• enforce these Terms; and
• comply with law.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your User Content to Rakudenz.

The licence ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, except where limited copies must remain temporarily in backups or be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

You may share content only when you have the right to do so.

You are responsible for ensuring that your User Content:

• does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy or other legal rights;
• does not reveal another person's confidential or private information without permission;
• does not falsely claim to be created, approved or endorsed by another person;
• does not violate a contract, court order or legal obligation; and
• complies with applicable law and community rules.

Where content includes an identifiable person, you are responsible for obtaining any permission reasonably required before sharing it.

You must not use Rakudenz to create, upload, send, promote or facilitate:

• illegal activity, fraud, scams or deception;
• child sexual abuse or exploitation;
• sexual content involving anyone under 18;
• grooming or inappropriate sexual contact involving minors;
• non-consensual intimate images or threats to publish them;
• credible threats, incitement to violence or instructions intended to cause harm;
• terrorism or violent extremist activity;
• hateful conduct or incitement against protected groups;
• harassment, bullying, stalking or repeated unwanted contact;
• doxxing or disclosure of private information;
• impersonation or deceptive identities;
• copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property infringement;
• malware, phishing or malicious links;
• spam, unsolicited bulk messaging or engagement manipulation;
• unauthorised scraping or automated data collection;
• attempts to bypass account, age or security restrictions;
• unlawful gambling, trafficking or prohibited goods or services; or
• any activity that creates a serious risk to Rakudenz or its users.

Teen users must not access, request, create or distribute adult or sexually explicit content.

Users must not create communities that encourage dating, sexual interactions or adult content involving teen users.

Rakudenz may investigate accounts, communities and content that are reported or reasonably suspected of violating these Terms.

We may:

• issue a warning;
• remove or restrict content;
• limit messaging or community features;
• restrict access to age-sensitive content;
• suspend an account or community;
• permanently terminate access;
• prevent replacement accounts;
• preserve relevant information; or
• notify authorities where required by law or reasonably necessary to address a serious safety risk.

We may use automated systems and authorised human review to identify abuse, spam, security threats and policy violations.

Rakudenz does not review every post, message or file before it appears. The presence of content on Rakudenz does not mean that we approve, verify or endorse it.

Where appropriate, you may request a review of an enforcement decision by contacting support@rakudenz.com.

Messages are made available to their intended recipients.

Rakudenz may process or access messages and attachments where reasonably necessary to:

• deliver the message;
• investigate a report made by a participant;
• provide requested support;
• detect spam, malware or security threats;
• address a credible risk of serious harm;
• enforce these Terms; or
• comply with law.

Do not assume that messages are end-to-end encrypted unless Rakudenz expressly states that a particular messaging feature is end-to-end encrypted.

You may report content or conduct using the reporting tools available within Rakudenz or by contacting support@rakudenz.com.

A report should include:

• the relevant username or community;
• a link, message reference or screenshot;
• a brief explanation of the issue; and
• your contact details.

Clearly identify urgent reports involving:

• child exploitation;
• non-consensual intimate content;
• credible threats;
• electronic impersonation;
• immediate risk of physical harm; or
• compromised accounts.

Do not send unlawful sexual imagery as an email attachment. Provide the information needed to locate the content instead.

Submitting a report does not guarantee that content will be removed. We will consider the report, context, available evidence, these Terms and applicable law.

Copyright or trademark complaints may be sent to support@rakudenz.com.

Please include:

• your name and contact information;
• identification of the protected work or right;
• the location of the disputed content;
• an explanation of the alleged infringement;
• confirmation that the information provided is accurate; and
• confirmation that you own the right or are authorised to act for its owner.

We may share relevant parts of the complaint with the affected user.

Accounts that repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights may be terminated.

Rakudenz and its licensors own the software, design, brand, logos, interfaces and other materials forming part of the service, excluding User Content.

We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use Rakudenz in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, sell, licence, reverse engineer, distribute or create a competing service from Rakudenz's software, design or branding except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Rakudenz may contain links to or integrations with services operated by other companies. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Rakudenz is not responsible for their availability, security, content or business practices.

You may stop using Rakudenz at any time.

Where account deletion is available through your settings, you may use that option. You may also request deletion by contacting support@rakudenz.com.

We may suspend or close an account where:

• these Terms are seriously or repeatedly violated;
• the account creates a safety or security risk;
• the account appears fraudulent or compromised;
• the user does not meet the applicable age requirement;
• action is required by law; or
• Rakudenz discontinues the relevant service.

Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice. We may act immediately where delay could create harm, undermine an investigation or violate law.

Rakudenz is provided on an "as available" basis during the beta.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that:

• Rakudenz will always be available, secure or error-free;
• content will always be stored or recoverable;
• every feature will remain available;
• users are who they claim to be;
• User Content is accurate or reliable; or
• use of Rakudenz will produce a particular result.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or warranty that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability arising from fraud or wilful misconduct.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rakudenz will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses, including loss of profits, reputation, opportunity or data.

Where liability may legally be limited, Rakudenz's total aggregate liability arising from the beta will not exceed the greater of:

• the amount you paid directly to Rakudenz during the 12 months before the claim; or
• ₹10,000 or the equivalent in your local currency.

These limitations do not reduce mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.

We may test, change, restrict, suspend or discontinue beta features as Rakudenz develops. We may update these Terms for product, safety, security, operational or legal reasons. The updated Terms will display a revised effective date. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Before starting formal proceedings, you and Rakudenz agree to make a reasonable attempt to resolve the dispute through written communication.

Unless mandatory consumer law allows you to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, India will have jurisdiction.
